Fall Event & Annual Meeting
October 9th, 2010
Please join us this year for our Fall Open House and Annual Meeting.
Starting at 10 a.m. we'll be open for all members to stop by and take a stroll through the crisp fall air. We will also be running Bison Buggy tours of the preserve throughout the day.
At 1 p.m. we'll meet in the Education Center. Jim Almendinger, senior scientist at the St. Croix Watershed Research Station will talk about Valley Creek and the decades of monitoring that the Research Station has conducted on it.
Following Jim Almendinger, our Executive Director, Steve Hobbs will give an update on the Belwin Conservancy's work this past year. As always, we're anxious for all your questions and comments.
At 7:30 p.m. weather permitting, we will also debut the Casby Observatory for Belwin Conservancy members that night! We'll remain open until 9 p.m. Stay and take a evening walk, but we'll also gather in the education center and have a member of the Minnesota Astronomical Society take us on a tour of the heavens through a live video link to the telescope.
Any weather related changes will be posted here.
