Kinji Akagawa: Integrating Nature and Arts Workshop

Open to everyone. $100 due upon registration.

Let nature inspire your creativity! Open to everyone interested in creating, no matter the form: visual arts, crafts, design, music, cooking. Bring your creative love along with your ideas. The class will meet, discuss projects, take time for meditation and reflection in nature, and share ideas.

Artist Kinji Akagawa is known for his works of great beauty in public spaces and in printmaking. His sculpture and public artworks are noted for their use of natural materials, cedar and ipe wood, granite and fieldstone, to name a few.

Kinji has recommended the following reading for class attendees:

  • "Basic Writings: 10 Key Essays, plus the Introduction to Being and Time" by Martin Heidegger (edited by David Farrell Krell)
