Belwin Bison Festival

$5 per car. Entrance fee for 5k Fun Run (parking included).

Welcome a herd of juvenile male bison from NorthStar Bison to Belwin. This free community festival celebrates bison’s critical role in helping Belwin maintain and improve our restored prairie.

The festival will be held rain (or snow!) or shine, so plan accordingly. Bring a chair or picnic blanket. Please consider carpooling!

Parking
$5 per car. Fee waived for 5k Run participants. Park at Belwin's Lucy Winton Bell Athletic Fields.

A 5k “Run with the Bison” Fun Trail Run will be held at 10:00 a.m. prior to the bison release. This family-friendly run is untimed and open to all skill levels. A small registration fee for the run will go toward maintaining the prairie for the bison and you. Register by April 20 to be guaranteed a bandana! The bison will be released into their prairie at 12:30 p.m., following the race.
