Every cold snap so far has been broken by long stretches of weather that feels more at home in March than mid-January. Still, winter is here and we have to take every opportunity to get outside that we can.
Our winter open house is usually a great time to go cross-country skiing at Belwin. This year it’s anyone’s guess if that will be possible. Still, our lack of appreciable snow makes for new opportunities.
Bare ground makes it easier to take a brisk winter walk. And as long as the snow holds off, we’re planning try some ice-skating on one of the ponds!
1/27 Edit: Unfortunately there isn't enough snow on the ground for skiing and the ice isn't good enough for skating. Hopefully you can still join us for a winter walk though. It's supposed to be beautiful tomorrow!
You’ll need to bring your own equipment for either skiing of skating. Whatever your activity of choice, we’ll have snacks and warm beverages to warm you up afterwards.
This event is open to all 2011 and 2012 members of the Belwin Conservancy. If you’re not yet a 2012 member, you can renew at the event or online right now. See you there!
