It's another busy season at Lucy and as always we have lots of great things going on. First, we would like to welcome Pete Mogren as our new turf specialist. He's already making encouraging progress.
Lucy is fortunate to have several miles of hiking trails adjacent to our complex. These trails are very popular with families that come to the complex for games and even members of the community who visit simply to take a walk (the trails are open to hiking any time Lucy is open). New this year are trail signs to help visitors, especially kids, appreciate Lucy's unique location amongst the Belwin Conservancy's prairies.
2010 marks our Tenth Anniversary!
The Lucy Winton Bell Athletic Fields opened their gates for the first time in 2000. That makes this year our tenth anniversary! For a decade now, kids in the community have made Lucy their home fields. In conjunction with the St. Croix Valley Athletic Association and the Saint Croix Soccer Club, thousands of games have been played here. This includes regular league games and numerous tournaments. To celebrate our tenth anniversary, we will be having a celebration to recognize everyone involved in bringing Lucy to this community.
