For this edition of Lucy News, we want to take a moment and thank Colleen Danford who after more than six years will be leaving her position as Lucy Winton Bell Athletic Fields Director. Nobody has worked harder than Colleen to make Lucy what it is today. Thanks to her leadership, the complex is better than it’s ever been and is a more rewarding place to visit. Countless thousands visit every year, all of whom have Colleen to thank for their time at Lucy. Thank you Colleen for all your work and best luck in your future endeavors!

The 2010 season is now coming to an end and again we are thankful for the new building at Lucy. Built with contributions from many of the surrounding communities, this multipurpose building is in use constantly for registration, meetings, concessions and much appreciated shelter. This year we completed the sod around the building and continue to fundraise for the restrooms and expanded concessions inside. This year, Lucy played host to numerous events including the MYSA State Cup, MYSA State Tournaments, and more. In addition, we proudly host the St. Croix Valley Athletic Association, St. Croix Soccer Club, and St. Croix Baseball’s regular season games.
