All new donors became members of the Belwin Conservancy, giving them access to free monthly events to explore our lands, learn about nature, meet with our staff and more.
Give to the Max Day took place on Thursday, November 16, with donations to nonprofits being accepted and processed in real time starting on November 1, 2017.
During the 16-day giving event, $16,095 was donated to Belwin. With the Belwin Conservancy board offering an $11,000 matching grant, a total of $27,095 was raised in support of Belwin’s mission of “Inspiring Our Connection to the Natural World.”
Give to the Max Day is the biggest giving day of the year in Minnesota. Since its inception in 2009, Give to the Max Day has helped thousands of nonprofit organizations raise money to improve the quality of life in Minnesota and communities around the world.
The Belwin Conservancy has protected, owns and manages nearly 1,400 acres of land in Afton and West Lakeland Township, Minnesota. That's nearly 10% of the land in Afton! Our focus is connecting people and the land through a variety of innovative experiential programs that include the arts, astronomy, athletic fields, bison, education, land protection, research and restoration.
Belwin also hosts unique, family-friendly events that are free and open to the community including a Winter Solstice Bonfire, Bison Buggy Rides, a special Night in Nature and a February Open House.
