Public Hiking Trail Maps

Belwin Conservancy maintains more than 7 miles of trails for public use, open daily from dawn to dusk. The rustic trails at Stagecoach Prairie and Lucy Winton Bell Athletic Field natural areas allow you to immerse yourself in native prairie, woodland, and wetland, and are always free and open.

Dogs on leashes are allowed at both areas. Please follow the Leave No Trace principle when you visit. For more info, please visit Rules and Guidelines. Thank you for helping us protect these native ecosystems!

Stagecoach Prairie - Free and open every day, dawn to dusk

Open daily from dawn to dusk. Please stay on trails and keep your dogs on leash. There are no restroom facilities available. An interpretive guide to this area can be found here.



Lucy Winton Bell Athletic Fields trails - Free and open every day, dawn to dusk

Parking available at the bison viewing lot, located south of the fields at 15555 Division St., Afton, MN.
Dogs are not allowed on the athletic fields, but they can accompany you on the surrounding prairie trails. Please keep your dogs on leash and stay on the trails. There are no restroom facilities available.



Belwin Conservancy Education Center Trails

Summer Hours: Every Saturday, 8am - 4pm. No dogs are allowed on the Education Center trails.

Trails at the Belwin Conservancy Education Center are only open on a limited basis. During the summer of 2020, the trails are open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. every Saturday, Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.

Starting September 17, the trails will be open every third Saturday of each month, 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Please visit our events page for more details. There are no restroom facilities available.
